Market events are usually described and anticipated as being in the short-term (ST), intermediate-term (IT), and long-term (LT). The amount of time attributed to each one is:

ST - Days to weeks

IT - Weeks to months

LT - Months to years

It is possible to manage investments in all three time frames, but it is extremely important that you adapt your strategy and tactics to fit the time frame in which you are working.
